Positive Electrical Services (PES) is celebrating after being recognised at the National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) Victorian Excellence Awards held on Friday night at Crown’s Palladium in Melbourne.

PES was nominated in two categories for its work at Baranduda Fields (Video Link), taking home the award for Best Small Business Project and finishing as Runner Up (Highly Commended) in the Best Lighting Project category.

 

The award-winning project, delivered on behalf of Wodonga City Council, included:

• Sports lighting for one soccer field at 500 lux

• Sports lighting for one soccer field at 200 lux

• Sports lighting for one AFL field at 200 lux

• Internal roadway and car park lighting

 

With more than 600 industry representatives from across Victoria in attendance, the recognition highlights PES’s ability to compete with larger metropolitan firms while showcasing the innovation and quality being delivered by regional businesses. Other nominations included projects at the MCG, and St Kilda Pier Lighting.

 

PES will now progress to the National NECA Awards in Brisbane this November, where they will represent Victoria on the national stage.

 

This is a significant achievement for a small Wodonga business. To be recognised at this level is a testament to the hard work and dedication of Damon Ferguson (Owner/Managing Director, Pictured Right) and the entire PES team. We are grateful for the support and innovation shown by Wodonga Council in bringing this project to life.
