Positive Electrical Services completed a major lighting and emergency lighting upgrade across the Linfox distribution facilities at Gadsden Court, delivering improved lighting performance, energy efficiency, compliance and operational safety across 10 warehouse sheds.

 

The project incorporated a combination of block stacked and pallet racking warehouse environments, with lighting layouts specifically designed to suit differing storage configurations, aisle requirements and operational activities throughout the facility.

Project scope included:

• Supply and installation of new high-efficiency Robus Sonic 5 LED high bay lighting

• Re-use and integration of existing SkyPad high bay fittings where suitable

• Emergency and exit lighting upgrades throughout all warehouse areas

• Testing, commissioning and compliance verification

• Staged installation works within a live operational logistics environment

Across the project, the final lighting design incorporated:

• 886 total high bay light fittings

• 588 new Robus Sonic 5 LED high bays installed

• 298 existing SkyPad high bays retained and re-used

• 205 emergency light fittings

• 102 exit light fittings

Due to the operational nature of the facility, works were carefully coordinated and staged to minimise disruption to warehouse and freight operations while maintaining safe access for staff and contractors at all times.

 

The completed upgrade delivered significantly improved lighting levels, visibility and uniformity throughout the warehouses, while also improving emergency egress compliance, reducing maintenance requirements and lowering energy consumption across the site.
